Your privacy is important to me. This policy describes how I collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information, in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

1. Personal Information

 

I collect only the information necessary for the intended purposes:

  • Identity and Contact Information:

    • For the contact form: name, email address, mother tongue, current French level, type of classes desired, and availability.

    • For the newsletter subscription: email address.

  • Billing Data: If you choose to take classes with me, I collect your mailing address and phone number for invoicing purposes.

  • Navigation Data: IP address, pages visited, and behavior on my site (via Google Analytics and the Facebook Pixel).

 

2. Purposes of Collection

 

Your information is collected for the following reasons:

  • To evaluate your linguistic needs and respond to your requests for French learning services.

  • To manage administration and billing for our lessons.

  • To send the periodical newsletter (if you have consented).

  • To analyze the performance of my website to improve my services.

 

3. Consent

 

By using my site or providing me with your information, you consent to its collection and use. For the newsletter or course registration, your consent is explicitly obtained. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

 

4. Communication to Third Parties and Storage

 

Your information will never be sold to third parties. It is shared only with necessary service providers:

 

  • Wix: For website hosting and newsletter distribution (data stored on servers that may be located outside of Quebec, notably in the U.S. or Europe).

  • PayPal: For processing international payments.

  • Microsoft Teams: For conducting online French classes.

  • Analytics Tools: Google and Meta (Facebook) for navigation data.

 

5. Retention and Security

 

I retain your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the intended purposes or to comply with my professional obligations. I have implemented security measures to protect your data. In the event of a privacy incident, I commit to notifying you and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, as required by law.

 

6. Your Rights

 

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, or request the portability of your data. You may also withdraw your consent at any time.
